- TYPE Used to display the contents of an ASCII file
- onto your monitor screen.

- Format: TYPE [D:Path]FileSpec

- Example: TYPE D:\WP\NOTES.TXT

- Displays the text contents of the file NOTES.TXT
- that is contained in the \WP directory on drive D
- onto your monitor screen.

- Example: TYPE NOTES.TXT

- Same as above, except the file NOTES.TXT resides in
- the CURRENT directory on the CURRENT drive.

- Example: TYPE NOTES.TXT >LPT1

- Sends the contents of the file NOTES.TXT that is
- in the CURRENT directory of the CURRENT drive to the
- LPT1 printer where it will be printed instead of
- being displayed on the screen.

- Example: TYPE C:\WP\LETTER.TXT |MORE

- Displays the text contents of the file LETTER.TXT in
- \WP directory on drive C: onto the monitor screen
- and PAUSES after each screenful of text and waits
- for you to press a key before displaying the remain-
- ing text.
